Coffee is a stimulent like ritalin and other add medication. Stimulents have the opposite effect on kids and adults with add/adhd

I wouldnt have, either. The 14 yr old has a friend with adhd and his mom told us to give him coffee when he is at our house.

My oldest son has ADHD and is not medicated. I homeschool him because the school wants me to medicate him. All I can really say is having a schedule helps a lot, repeating myself helps him a lot. Sometimes I have to ignore the fidgeting part of it. I have to remind him that he has to wait his turn and also to listen without interupting others. You just have to be patient with her and be consistent with her. I do not believe in medicating but that is my personal choice. Also taking a lot of sugar and dye's out of the diet helps, staying on a more natural diet helps. Good luck.
