Hey, what do I do with Kayleigh? The child wants to do nothing but worksheets. I bought new kinder level ones, because she needs a challenge, and she has already done 30 minutes of them.   I don't want her just doing worksheets, I mean, she's 4. I have her doing puzzles right now, she's somewhat satisfied. I'm trying to just distract her, "Let's pay baby dolls, let's build a tower..." Trying to get her to just play.

I loved worksheets as a kid   I don't know what to tell you. I would keep giving them to her if she likes them. Look at it this way, if she likes them, they are like "play" to her.

For me, they made me feel like a grown up doing my "paperwork." I always wanted more.

When I was six, I would ask my dad to give me words to look up in the dictionary. Maybe she is just a nerd like me?

  So, I'm not pushing her? I feel like by giving her more I'm pushing her too hard. I don't want her to be the typical oldest child who's mom pushed too hard academically.

Put out a plastic tray for her with a ton of worksheets and let her decide when she wants to do them. That way, she is in control of how many she does but she also has it as an option. You could put other choices around there as well and tell her that its "choice time" and she can go pick what she wants (Puzzles, magnetic letters, worksheets, a book, etc.)

Choice time! I love that. The more expensive workbooks I don't want to waste, but maybe I'll pick up an easier PreK one and do that. Thank you! That is perfect.

Well, I'll make you a packet before April of a ton of worksheets. If you laminate them, she can do them as many times as she wants with a dry erase marker.

We do this with math sheets so the girls can practice as much as they want. I need to find a decent sized sheet for Eva to practice letters.
