No, I think it's completely ridiculous. I smoke and my daughter who is four, not two, still doesn't have access to my cigarettes and has never seen me smoking, or her father.

I remember doing it when I was 2 or 3. I woke up before my parents and found an ashtray and their cigarettes on the counter and my dad walked out and saw me with a cigarette in my mouth pretending to be my mom. Still didn't stop them from smoking around me until my dad accidentally burned me with one when I tried to hop in his lap while he was smoking.

I know, that's why it baffles me that people still smoke around their kids in this day and age. I have nothing against smoking, I was a pretty heavy smoker when I lived on campus, but with all of the info out about second hand smoke I'm seriously surprised that there are people who are still okay with exposing their kids to it. Hell, up here it's illegal to smoke with anyone under 16 in the car and it's almost impossible to smoke in public in Portland with all of the 50ft rules with the buildings.

I used to use crayons to imitate smoking. My kids have never done it even though M smokes and they know he does.

I know, totally. I smoke but not in the car and not in the house and even if we're outside together I wont' smoke. I can control it long enough to wait until she's in bed or her dad's watching her.

My almost 6 year old doesn't even know I smoke.
Let alone doing it around him like that. Smurf that. It's bad enough without bringing it around my kids.
