Quoting October Rust:" I was surprised that DH went out and bought me chocolates on his way home from work this morning! ... [snip!] ... but I made him strawberry pancakes for his breakfast (I tried to make them heart shaped but the batter wouldn't cooperate xD)"
DH hasn't even acknowledged today, I know he's going to "surprise" me with something nice, just like I'm going to surprise him with a quiet, (hopefully) amazing, candlelit dinner. We weren't always this way, we learned how to communicate and we learned that these are really good opportunities for us to "date" eachother again. I'm sure those men didn't fall in love with green, greedy, psycho's, they probably fell in love with who those women were when they were still on their best behavior and acting like money and material things meant nothing. Now that things are real and they realize they won't be pampered, for doing nothing, by another man like they were in the beginning of the relationship they have buyers remorse.
