The health department tell you how far along you are after giving you a pregnancy test or do they just tell you if it's positive?

They can go by your last period to give you a guesstimate of your due date.

I was given an u/s because I was irregular and we had no way of knowing how far along I was, but I think it depends on the particular dept.

Here our health department is basically a doctor's office.

To answer the OP, they did give me an estimate on due date based off of my last period.

So that she can get the insurance.
And the most they will do is to a urine test then as when the first day of your last period was and go by that.

Lol it's okay, in order for me to get insurance I have to have a proof of pregnancy, and the health department does them for you, I'm not sure how much it cost they said it goes by income so we'll see. I already know I'm pregnant but I have to have proof on paper..

Oh see I don't know what to tell them because my last normal period was October 10th but then I had a very light/strange irregular period in the beginning of November so really I dont know if I would tell them the October period or the weird one, I wonder what one they would go by...

You may just have to get a Dr appointment and have an Ultrasound to know your due date.
