re: If there was a world-wide black out

I was thinking we would have closer-knit communities or at least hold on to the family relationships more, we would depend on them much more.

God damn...
I barely have a stockpile for anything! Way to be covered, I'm jealous.

I think there will be riots. It happens every time there is a natural disaster. That's what the bunker and guns are for.

In a perfect world, that would happen.

Definetly have to make some home made vinegar! There are so many things out there that have been lost (knowledge). But yes that would be another thing to worry about.

oh boy. i suppse the southerners here have no idea what it's like to live in colder climates. You are MUCH better off sweating than freezing. You cant even wash dishes when its cold. it's miserable.

Seriously. I'd rather be hot than cold. I can't stand being cold.

I have lived in ohio/wisconsin most of my life. Florida is a much easier climate when it comes to growing food, washing dishes like you said, among other things.

I lived in FL for a few years while in college. I hated the heat but I'd take the heat over the cold if i didnt have electricity. Thanks to my time in FL, i cant get into the ocean here until mid-July lol.

I think we'd be ok if electricity and technology suddenly disappeared. We have a fireplace in the house and lots of candles. SO knows how to hunt and clean animals. We have vegetable seeds to make a garden in the spring. We have a lot of weapons for our protection if we need it.
Also we live in the south. Our winters here are very mild. I have yet to put on a coat and I'm still wearing short sleeves. I go barefoot outside still.

I think we'd be ok.

Dude. You can bundle up and put layers on to help remedy the cold. You can't do jack smurf in the 110-115 F weather, lmao. I've been all over the world. I am well aware of different climates. And I still think I'd rather be in the cold than the extreme heat. And I mean, you can light a fire for warmth ffs

Eh, frostbite is no joke though. It would be harder to find food and grow food. You can find shelter and a source of water to cool from the heat...a little fire isnt going to help that much, especially when all the wood you would gather would be wet from snow.

True. There are definitely positives and negatives with both.
