Idk why they sent it, i was making payments on it. And they had it listed one one of my credit reports too as like a side note.

I'm just super embarressed to not have it paid off by now.

And I could pay the 250 this paycheck but would have absolutely no money, and I still have some baby items i need to get, and was hoping to go ahead and get ds atleast 2 presents. I am just so stressed out.

Every hospital has a charity fund that you can ask for, for past balances, and new ones. It's for people who have no insurance, and/or no money. they will pay your bill for you.
You HAVE to ask for it though. They don't like to tell people that they have a million bucks for someones bill to be paid for by them. .

This is very true. Before I moved I worked for billing for a hospital and you can call and speak with a biller and they can help you with filling out a form to see if you qualify for assistance. They will ask you about your bills monthly etc and if you qualify they will take care of the rest. And if you do not qualify they can normally set up payments for 25.00 a month. Have you called and talked to them about this OP?

I would not qualify, nor do I want to try. Thanks for the info. It's not that I can't pay it, it's just I can't pay it right now. Now when taxes come in I can afford to pay it all at once. But with xmas, and I was having car problems and so was dh and the baby due soon its just not realistic to do immediately kwim?

Most collections are pay day loans and medical bills.
