re: Regret your children?

I don't regret them. No.

My 2 boys are CRAZY! lol DH is deployed so I think that put them in attention seeking mode. They both are potty trained but started peeing on the floors! I can not tell you how many crazy things they have done since DH left. They frustrate the hell out of me and definitely have me going a little nutty a lot! I definitely don't regret them though. I just try to keep them busy and correct their bad behavior. Yea most the time they keep me busy more than I do them, lol, but at least it is making DH's deployment go by faster than I thought! Not too mention, I was a pretty crazy kid, so I kind of expect it. lol

I don't regret my children. They are the best thing I have ever done. With that said, I do have moments where I can't stand the little turds. Where I question my sanity, "What drove me to have these little monsters?" I think every parent has those moments though and that's totally okay. The woman OP is talking about sounds like she's going through a rough time with her kids, regret was probably a poor word choice on her part. They probably need discipline. Not to say she isn't trying, but she may need to try a different tactic.

I agree with what you think about the woman that said that. Sounds like maybe she could use a night out to her self to rejevenate. Getting on to kids can exhaust you and it is hard to keep the kids on top and happy if you arent.

This!! I have 3 girls and another girl on the way. (6 more weeks, yay!) All of my girls are very well behaved and kind to one another. They do get a bit rowdy at times and don't like to share, but my husband and I do our best at teaching them the right way to be and how to treat one another. They give each other hugs and tell each other they love them all the time. I think it does come down to the parenting. The worst it gets in my house is when they are all trying to talk at the same time or fighting over something. I don't spank them, so when they aren't listening I send them to their room and it isn't long before they choose to come out and apologize.

my youngest was an AWFUL sleeper as a baby- he was up EVERY 30 MINUTES. because at the time i had a 2-year-old who no longer took a nap in the daytime, i was severely sleep-deprived, and i remember one night, after about 3 months of hardly any sleep perpetually; i sat up in bed breastfeeding him and i just started sobbing my heart out, i remember thinking, "this is like TORTURE. this is INFINITELY WORSE than the PAIN of CHILDBIRTH". (and i had a drug-free home birth both times so know the pain!)

but even then it never even came close to crossing my mind that i wished i'd never had him!

i don't think that mother truly regrets them. she's just stressed and she needs help. x
