HCG level after m/c

I am still bleeding after m/c. today is day 10. I was 9wks, I have my HCG level on day 5 and it was 3697. Doctor was going to have me do it weekly until zero. But ask that I get other blood draw today. I starting getting cramps last night and today and bleeding more than the past few days. I don't know what to make of this???? Does the HCG level seem high? I don't have anything to compare it to. Thanks for reading.

it took 2 months for my levels to come down, and i bleed for almost 2 months i think it was like a month and a half, i ended up telling them i wanted a d&c because it was taking so long and i didnt want to risk anything, good luck mama

I think it was around 2 months for mine to come down too. I also bleed for about a full month and then had really bad discharge for awhile. I am so sorry to hear about your loss.

OMG! That's quite awhile. The nurse mentioned possible d&c or give it a few more days. I am giving it a few more days. Did you have u/s? was your uterus clear? I had one last week and doctor said it looked clear. I just don't get it.

yes i had an u/s and they said everything was clear after 2 months, i was just so scared that not everything was out because it took so long for my numbers to fall, and within 2 months i had a chemical pregnancy before my d&c was scheduled, the doctors are normally right, but if you feel that it isnt right, you can have them do a d&c

First off I'm so sorry about your loses, I've had 2 myself 12 wks along was my oldest loss. So I don't know a lot about level numbers, I had mine naturally at home so I could bury the little guy, but I did take a pregnancy test at thee advice of my midwife a week after my loss and it was negative which means all clear of any after birth. I also bleed for a month after, but 28 days later I had a regular period. Hope I’ve helped some and Good luck Mamma!!

I had a D&E on May 7th, and I am still bleeding.  I hate it! I dont see the doc for a follow up until next week, but I mustered up the courage to take a pregnancy test yesterday...it was neg. So I guess I am good. I just wish this bleeding would stop...just when it dwindles down to spotting...bam! its back to full bleeding. I feel like I cant possibly move on when my body reminds me of the loss everyday

You said it perfectly about your body reminds you of the loss everyday. That's how I feel. I wish the bleeding would stop, but every minute of the day I think about what could have been. Sorry for your loss too.

my body wouldn't let go of the pregnancy. It took me awhile to get the process of my body letting go started. Then I bled for a month. It also took my Hcg levels 6 weeks to go back to negitive.

I had my m/c on May 2nd and I bled/spotted for about 10 days. My HCG was 8 as of 5/21/08 and my doctor didn't tell me that he wanted to check it again. So, it took my HCG about 19 days to get back to normal. I am just now starting to spot, I think AF might be around the corner, which is good news, things are getting back to normal! I think everyone's body is different and handles situations differently. My doctor said that AF normally returns in 3-6 weeks from the date of m/c, so hopefully your bleeding will stop soon and things will get back on track. Good luck!

6/2 HCG level 700. So its going down. Still spotting and lots of red blood while using restroom. Passedbig clot last night. WTH?? Will this ever stop? Next blood draw, Monday 6/9 will include test for anemia.I feel tried and fatigue. Also, feel depressed and stressed. I can't get this pg and m/c out of my mind. Plus, babysitter issues for the summer and changes happening at work too. The last 1 wk and half have been rough. It can only get better, right? I hope.

Thank you for sharing. Are you waiting a few months before ttc again?
