Violence is never okay unless it is in self defense. If she hit him he could easily walk away from the situation, unless she was coming after him and hitting him repeatedly or using a weapon. If it was a question of absolute danger then the person being hit has every right to act in self defense, but if they're able to walk away then they should.
I would never even dream of hitting SO because I respect him.

I'm pretty sure if Honey Boo Boo's parents got into a domestic dispute it would end with her mom swallowing her dad whole, like a boa constrictor, but with hoarding tendencies.
