Just make all your meals in a crock pot and keep it on 'warm' for when he gets home.

I do stews, chilis, and soups.

It's not like you aren't fixing him something at all. And a grilled cheese isn't too hard to make.

Or you could always just make some toast/garlic toast to go with the soup or chili for him to eat with it.

True. Toast or rolls wouldn't be too bad. I actually love cold rolls with butter and honey on them! lol

Our toaster.is broken but I could make some in the oven. Or just tell him to make his own.grilled cheese.

Chicken breasts, can of black beans, can of corn, can of salsa, with a cream cheese the last hour. Not very healthy but my SO loves it, I'm vegetarian so I don't eat it.

I like a black bean, corn, veggie bake that could stay on low in oven served with Tortillas.

My favorite dish right now is kale, potato, carrot, onion, baked in the oven at 350 with orange juice, a little olive oil, garlic, a pinch of salt. This can stay on warm in the oven and is so good.

i know this doesn't take out all the steps but you could always prep the grilled cheese for him so all he has to do is throw the sandwich in the pan. butter the bread and put the cheese on and put it in a baggy in the fridge.
