Quoting Manda Capps:" I have police reports from domestic violence (him to me) and emails of him threatening bodily harm to me. He told me to kill myself, just a bunch of crazy smurf. I have proof of it all."
For visitation there will be a court date, if you really him to have visitations bring all of that to court with you. Its really all in the hands of the judge and with judges its always best to get a lawyer if you can't afford a lawyer then make sure you have all your ducks in a row and stay as calm as you can in the court room. You can call legal aid and see if you can get help with a lawyer but I dont know if they help with legal aid when it involves family court.
