HCG Diet

posted 10th Dec
Kinda random....Sorry! lol

If someone is on the HCG Diet, and they're TTC (or TNTC, whatever the case may be) and they take a pregnancy test...will the test come up positive because they're putting HCG into their diet, even though they aren't personally producing it?

Weird smurf that crosses my mind when I'm sleepy...

It shouldn't. I read that your body processes it differently so it shouldn't show up on a pregnancy test.

I don't understand that diet...if what I've read is correct, you're restricted to 500 calories a day. If you had the willpower to only eat 500 calories a day...why would you need a special diet than includes hcg on top of that?

I think most people are overweight because they have difficulty cutting calories...

you will never conceive if you are starving yourself... that is just plain stupidity to eat only 500 calories a day unless you want to be very sick

I agree...And I'm absolutely not planning on getting on it, cause...well for one it's an absurd starvation crash diet that's not a good way to keep weight off, and for two, I'm producing HCG all-natural right now. If you're down to 500 calories a day, you're going to lose weight without the HCG...it just won't STAY off, and your metabolism will be smurfed lol

I was just thinking and curious. :-D

I conceived two of my three children during a struggle with anorexia, and I know very well I'm not the only person out there to do so. You CAN concieve when you aren't healthy enough to do so.

My mom did that diet... holy smurf was it stupid. She ended up losing, like, 10 lbs total and then put on 20 afterwards   I'm not injecting myself with anything... ever. Plus, if you went more than a day without losing any weight all you could have all day was apples. Like wtf. STUPID!

smsmsmuuurfrfrf that lol

Ugh...I'm totally of the mindset that weightloss should come from a lifestyle change, not some crazy ass crash diet...I was just curious if pregnancy tests would be skewed by using HCG as an "aid"

Here's my answer: I don't know. As for my response, some people may not know that.

Okay, I've figured it out. If you take the Homeopathic kind, it can't give you a false positive. If you are taking the Prescription kind, it CAN give you a false positive, but it's still rare.
