The Hcg Diet

posted 10th Dec
Has anyone done the Hcg diet? What was your end result? Did you like it?
I'm considering doing the diet but i'm a little worried about after finishing how do I keep weight off? I'm also confused about what meals to cook since its only 500 cal.

I haven't looked into it too much, but from what I HAVE read, it doesn't have good reviews.

The only thing I've heard is it's unhealthy and doesn't work.

I couldn't do 500 calories a day. That's one meal for me.

It's not a diet. You just starve yourself and that in turn will malnourish your body and make it more difficult to keep weight off

Well I know a few people who have done and lost a ton of weight... Only to gain it all back right after finishing.

You could just starve yourself.

Same idea.

Me too! I don't eat very well at all. I have Pepsi and Doritos for breakfast....

Diets don't work it is a life style change that is the only thing that will be long term. I have been on way too many diets just to gain it back. Eating right Nd exercising us the key.

do you have a death wish?? that is NOT enough calories to sustain anything... diets are utterly ridiculous and will work short term but after you will pile the weight back on and more... you need a lifestyle change, eat well, drink a lot of water and exercise... burn more then you consume, stick to lean protein and veggies, cut out white starches, stick with whole grains, quinoa etc... ugh now I'm hungry

honestly i put myself on a diet a few years ago of 500 calories a day and barely any fat grams which is basically starving yourself. i ended up in the hospital over it and got a eating disorder after therapy for it i ended up gaining all my weight back because once you starve your body of fat and calories it starts storing everything you eat to survive. i would not recommend it at all it's never healthy to lose the weight to fast.

Diets like that are for lazy people. Seriously. Does 500 cals a day seem healthy? Eat right and exercise. There's no magic trick to losing weight.

My doctor has agreed to monitor me while on it if I do more than 500 cal. but some people have told me it doesn't work if I do more than that. I'm doing a lot research on it and hear different things. I understand there's a lot of controversy over it I was just asking for people who have done it or know someone who has. I gained 40lbs during my pregnancy due to being on bed rest the entire time and health issues that make it harder for me to lose it. I do eat right and exercise 2x a day, I have about 20lbs left to go before I'm back at my pre pregnancy weight, and I've been working on it really hard.

Your doctor? Really? Get a new one.

Continue working hard. It's only 20lbs.

Yeah I know. I'm just looking into it not set on doing anything other than what I have been. Just looking for different opinions.
