Make it a sticky?!

So not sure how somehting gets to be a sticky but I thought this would be a good one.
Step parents!
It gets very tough being in this situation- especially when you're new to it; where do you responsiblities start and end, what are the boundaries, ect.
I know I have a lot of questions and advice and stuff and I thought this would be a good one. I also have to deal with a crazy bio mother who is just insane! So I could def use some support and ideas at how to stay strong!

First lets all introduce ourselves- name, how many bio/step lo's, how you met your SO, and anything else you might wanna say.
I am Tracy, I have a little girl on the way, a seven year old stepson who I love as my own and a wonderful husband! Some of the things we are currently struggling with are: my ss's crazy mom, and my overall exhaustion!

I think she is going to come early, I have already had to have a shot to stop early labor and still feel a few contractions every now and again! Crossing my fingers she doesn't though!

Hi! I have 2 SS ages almost 4 and 6. Me and SO have only been married since June, and only together since March. Right now their mom is trying to get 1/2 and 1/2 custody which is impractical since they live 45 minutes away and it makes school impossible.

I was 2 weeks over due. I was near 10lbs.

Hi! Thanks for adding to this!- Congrats on getting married, my husband and I got together in Feb, pregnant in May and married in August!
Maybe try a week on, week off, that was one of our suggestions when my hubs and I went to court over his son. The only reason is was shot down was because he has a one year old little bro and is about to have a sister so we felt like it may be too much time away from them! Also if that is an option make sure the driving is equal and try to find a meet spot in the middle so you guys don't get stuck driving so far!

My name is alyssa, I met so in 09 we have been engaged since july 2010... planning on getting married soon. we have one 14 mo little guy together and he has 2 children. so I will have 2 step children... their mom is crazy too... not even kidding. I wont get into it now but I posted not long ago and got a lot of crap for it. its hard to parent them or act like a parent because you want them to like and respect you as well. They call me their step mom already. they are 6 and 8 years old.

Hey Alyssa! Congrats! And I agree , I have def learned that no matter what you do, you're wrong 90% of the time to someone. Like if you never discipline them then you are just tryign to get them to like you but if you do you get jumped on because "you're not their mother and you can't tell them what to do!" It's impossible to please some, especially when the birth mother is jealous of you or just doesn't like you! What's going on with her?
Do you have custody or joint or anything?
My husband was initially super scared to go to court with her because he thought he would have to pay a smurf ton more in c/s and get less time with him!
We are getting ready to go back to court with her because even though they agreed in the mediation that we could have him for Christmas Eve night till 10:30 Christmas morning and come Friday the little guy "caught the flu" and she "was so concerned for me and my unborn daughter because I never got the fly shot that she refused to give us him and so we filed numerous police reports and she will be charged with custodial interference come Friday the 4th!
