hcg levels

I found out I was about 3.5 weeks pregnant last Friday. My hcg levels were only 13. The dr isn't worried at all. I have an ultrasound when I'm 7 weeks. Anyone had experience with low levels and had a healthy baby. The Dr also said it could mean this pregnancy won't cause bad morning sickness like my last. Any truth?

Every pregnancy has to start somewhere.

At 4w1d I was only at 50 and my baby boy is fine.

What matters is that the levels are increasing, not so much what they are. At 3.5 weeks, I would say it's perfectly normal for it to be that low.

She never said anything about more blood work. Should I call and ask to get another one

No, I mean if your doctor wasn't concerned.

I had a lot of blood work but then again I had IVF so it was a bit more involved with the appointments.

I never had a blood test done...usually they just do an ultrasound at 8ish weeks to confirm pregnancy and check your dates.

Every pregnancy starts at 0...you just found out really early.

Mine were at 113 just before 4 weeks. Like someone else mentioned, the number itself doesn't matter as much as long as the number is doubling every 48 hours.

Not necessarily. 13 is well within the normal range for that early in pregnancy.

No, not necessarily. Every pregnancy is different. You're still early. Your levels could get really high. It's hard to say what will happen.
