You should be able to. I heard it via doppler at 10 weeks with my daughter.

You should be able to hear it. Most dopplers that doctors use are pretty sensitive.

You should be able to. I remember having an appointment around 10-11 weeks with DD and they let me hear it, but it was via ultrasound because the doppler wouldn't pick it up yet.

So, if they can't pick it up on the doppler will I end up getting an ultrasound? I had one at 6 weeks..

They could hear the baby at 9weeks for me. It might take a while but they will probably get the baby's heart beat in good. Some doc's wait another week and have you come back if they can't find the heart beat, but I don't see you having a problem.

I couldn't with my first, but my uterus is tilted. If your OB can't find it with the doppler, they will do an ultrasound to listen to it.

Ok- I figured they would do another ultrasound if they couldn't hear it since I'm consider "high risk."

Mine did, and I wasn't high risk.

They may do it, especially since you're considered high risk. I wasn't considered high risk at the beginning of my pregnancy, but since it wouldn't pick up on the doppler they told me they would do a ultrasound just to ease my mind because it kinda freaked me out when they tried to use the doppler and didn't pick anything up.

I was able to hear my baby's heartbeat around 9 weeks.   What a lovely experience it was too!

You definitely should be able to hear your baby. Surprisingly, I was able to hear the heartbeat at my first appointment when I was 6wks4days pregnant. The doctor was quite astonished that she was able to get such a clear heartbeat on it. Every appointment since, I've been able to hear it loud & clear!
