No one is allowed to spank my kids, they ARE allowed to discipline them, but you dont have to hit a child to discipline them. They have threatend to spank them in the past and I told them they hit my kid, they will not be allowed around them.

I don't think I'd hesitate to report them.

In YOUR situation, I would be smurfing pissed! I wouldn't get physical with her, but she would never be alone around my child again, thats for sure. Sounds like she has some mental issues anyway.

If it were my child and one of my close family members, I would not be too concerned. Seeing that the only people in my family that would be watching my son would be my mom, dad sister or brother and I trust their judgement completely. If it were a non-family member I would be freakin pissed beyond belief. I would never spank someone elses kid, either.

If it were my mom, dad, or sister, or my s/o's dad... honestly, wouldn't do much other than ask them not to spank them without my knowledge first. I'm one of the people that believes it takes a village to raise a child. My mom and dad, and s/o's dad, are fantastic parents, so I would trust their judgement in helping me raise my own.

Trust me, this lady is warped. She has zero respect and doesn't care what I have to say or what Dh has to say. She does not have kids, but thinks biased advice from her friends is fool proof

My parents spanked me as a kid but did not think it was right for anyone else to punish me in that way. They found out my grandma spanked me... and it was a BIG spank (I was used to little pats on the butt, not the full on spanks by grandma) My parents were VERY upset about this.

I don't really spank (but I see nothing wrong with it) but I think spanks done by people other then parents esp without consent are NOT ok.

I would probably overlook it once, and let them know that I don't spank [if I don't spank that is, not quite a parent yet and I know how things change..] and if they did it again I would flip smurf. You wanna spank/punish my child for not listening, when you yourself don't listen? I don't think so.

That person would never be allowed around my child alone again. And if they couldn't accept that then they wouldn't ever be around my child ever again.

I don't leave my daughter alone with anyone in the family besides my grandmother- and I only have 3 times. I doubt she would ever spank her, because she's a perfect angel for my gram LOL, but even if she did, I wouldn't "smurf a bitch up" I'd simply be pissed off and not let her watch her anymore.

Here's the kicker.. The bitch lives downstairs. Apparently she's been laying her hands on them whenever daddy is suppose to be watching them. I have no choice in this matter; we are moving out ASAP, which will be a couple months. It's been some time since she's pulled this smurf in front of me. It is by law her mothers house (was their grandparents home for years, grandma got out in assisted living, then she moved in when she smurfed up her marriage last year). I'm moving out with the boys whether smurf does too or not. I start a new, fulltime job in a few weeks. This situation is just down right dysfunctional beyond belief
