Dry baby bump
posted 10th Dec
I'm 22 weeks pregnant with my first boy and I have a 7 + 8 year old girls and I didn't have dry skin issues at all with them, but my belly is dry and flakey all of the time. I use cocoa butter lotion it worked for a while and now I'm using Palmers skin oil and its still flakey. Any suggestions my doctor says its normal. The oil makes me feel like I'm a greased up guido.

I had that problem with my daughter so I started using body butter from The Body Shop. It definitely keeps my skin feeling a lot more comfortable. And the vitamin e helps with my stretchies

I make my own lotion bars that work wonders. 1 part(I did 1/2 cup) beeswax(grated or pellets), 1 part coconut oil, and 1 part raw cocoa or shea butter. I used cocoa. It is oily feeling for about 5 minutes but soaks it really well.

Maybe try something with a different consistency? Like body butter than someone suggested. I liked Bio Oil, too. I'm getting seriously dry skin this time, too, for some reason.

I itch on my belly all the time and the sides of my boobs... I take a bath and rub down with the palmers cocoa butter and it works great for me... t

Thanks Ladies I'm going to try butter first and then I'll attempt making my own if all else fails.
