Teething :(

DD is almost 6 months old and is getting her first tooth. It hasn't quite cut through yet, but it's really close. I can see it and feel it. The past few days have been horrible. She noms on anything and everything, EXCEPT teethers. Today she's been screaming and pulling at her mouth, it's breaking my heart. I don't like to use orajel, but I bought some today to help and it's been helping a little,but not for long. Is there anything I can do for her? Is it okay to give her tylenol just for teething pains?
