Salt Dough Ornaments

posted 10th Dec
I just attempted to make salt dough handprint ornaments for family members. My son did not want to cooperate. I'm thinking the prints aren't deep enough. Oh well, we'll see. I just want something cute I can do with him for my family members. Any ideas?

Have cookie cutters? Use those to create the ornament shapes.

DD's weren't deep enough either, so I colored them to help.

I plan on doing this!!! When I was younger we would do this and use christmas cookie cutter shapes and paint them.

Thanks ladies. I checked on them and two of the three actually look decent. So we'll see. I may try coloring them or outlining them to make them easier to see. Plus I wanna put his name and '2012' on them.

No idea! I did them on 200 degrees for an hour and a half. They are a little squishy but you can let them sit out for the rest of the moisture to come out.

Will it ruin them if I flip them? I need to take these back to school tomorrow so we can paint them and I have to bring home my second classes tomorrow to bake haha. Idk what I got myself into haha.
