what?

So I called DS's pedi & asked what I should/could do about DS gumming everything because he could possibly be teething & I asked if there was anything I could do to help with his discomfort. Well the dr went on about how thrush would show white spots & said that DS would be running a fever. What the hell?! I asked him why he was telling me that. His response was because DS couldn't possibly be teething at 3 weeks old. He didn't give me any of the info I asked about at all... he just kinda shut me down & started explaining other smurf to me. What should I do? All I wanted was information & my sons dr was a total douchebag

How did he get thrush out of that? Does DS have white spots in his mouth?

Not at all! He's been extremely fussy, overheating without running a fever, he's been gumming everything(if he's not eating he has to have a paci or he chews on his hands/arms while crying)& yesterday SO's dad couldn't figure out why DS was so upset so he felt around in DS's mouth then told me DS was teething. He's had 2 kids & helped raise his younger cousins so I didn't doubt him on it

Sorry sweetie. It's hard that young to find comfort. A lot of remedies are for older babies. Maybe refrigerate/freeze some pacis so he has a little cold comfort. But dot let them be icy so they aren't too cold.

I just feel so bad for him because he seems like he's in pain I am going to try the paci thing though. Thank you!
