Christmas Gift Ideas

I find it so hard to find my daughter christmas gifts and birthday gifts as she gets older! Not to mention her birthday and christmas are close together so i dont want to go too overboard for either occassion!
My daughter will be 4 on january 4th, and i want to get her a canopy for her bed as well as this fold up vanity thing from toys r us.
I need some other ideas for christmas and her birthday too though!
Anyone have any ideas on what to get a 4 year old girl?!
