SAHM

I'm a SAHM mom to an almost 13 month old. I planned to go back to work eventually but due to some health issues I don't know when I can. Anyways, my SO works from 2pm and gets home at 1130 pm. I just feel so bad, like she's bored. Maybe its just me feeling guilty but I feel like since I'm a SAHM to one child I should be playing with her all the time. Sometimes I wish she could go to day care to get more interaction. Does anyone else feel like this?? How do you keep them busy?? Thanks.

SO works same hours, too.
We both get equally bored. Not real sure what to tell you. =/
I can't take LO outside this time of year, it's really cold and windy and just uncomfortable.

Same here! It sucks.  

I do. Unfortunately it's like 45 a day just to go for a few hours and that's too much for me. I play with him, watch cartoons and color. We're kinda bored all day too.

Find a mommy group or start one. Take her places like an indoor playground or children's museum.

look on craigslist and facebook for mom play groups in your area! It'll poop em out and keep em happy!

This! Play groups help soooo much, for the kiddo and momma.

See that's another thing. SO used to ride with a guy to work but he got fired lol, so now he takes our car!

just make it within walking distance of your home.

Me and LO are bored all day too, there's only so much playing I can do lol. We usually watch TV, color, play cars.. that's about it. We used to go to the playground, but now it's winter so we're pretty much stuck inside unless we go food shopping or something

Also, consider babysitting a child around the age of your own. They keep each other busy so you can get a few things done.

We go to 2 storytimes a week. Playdates at the park, our homes or softplay. I would definitely look into mommy groups...I found a great one on *whispers* cafemom! The ones for my area on meetup.com are pretty clique-y...and a hassle to join, so I gave up. Most of the people we hang out with I met just by getting out and doing things, even if it was just me and baby.

Drive him to work some days. It's a hassle but I had to frequently when my Hubby was in the military.
