when to make the fudge?

I'm making fudge for Christmas and will start giving it out the Friday before Christmas. When can I make it? And once I make it how can I keep it good? Lol. This is my first time making it so I don't want to mess it up and not have time to make more.

I make it the day of, and to keep it good just refrigerate it. Idk how long it stays good for, we usually toss it after a couple of days.

My mamaw (bless her heart) made hers last week! Lol. It never tastes good by Christmas and I don't want to make that mistake.

I made mine last week and just put it in nice boxes in the freezer.
