Teen parenting group

posted 10th Dec
Today I am battling my 2 year old and my 3 month old so I can get this entire house spotless for the Teen parenting group I am hosting tonight. Why, why did I agree to this?! I am exhausted, had maybe 2 hours of uninterupted sleep last night. Unlike my 2 year old who slept from 4pm yesterday until 930am today.

Oh well, I get to see a bunch of girls and their babies tonight. (: So excited to have them over with their littles ones!

Leave it dirty and let it be part of the lesson. "This is what the house will look like with a toddler"

That's a cool idea, I wish I could host one. How did you arrange it? I would feel creepy just putting out an ad haha

I'm a "teen" mom and most of my friends are younger mothers (21 and under) and I was talking with a woman who was a "teen mom" and she wanted to do a group type of thing to let girls know they aren't alone. So we got together and I invited my friend and then eventually made a page event on FB so others could find out about it and they could come. People donate baby clothes, strollers, swings, toys, etc. to help give them to the moms that need them and the other moms donate the stuff their babies grow out of. It's still small but we're hoping it grows!

The other moms are just me and 2 friends right now.   LOL It still needs to grow, but Erin (the former teen mom) really pulled it all together and got a TON of donations and such. She is awesome. I'm just trying to get more girls!

That's awesome. I really wish there was something like that when I was a teen mom as well. I got pregnant a month after I turned 18. I'm going on 24 in two weeks, time is flying lol

They are great. I was part of one when I was pregnant with my son but then I moved to a city where there were no groups so I was excited to find someone that wanted to start one! They are awesome, I would have been lost without them. The group I attended with my son provided pregnancy, parenting, and birthing classes that I took with my husband.
