I get the thin sliced ones and slice the sides so they don't curl while cooking. I then flour them (I add a little salt and pepper to the flour), dunk them in a couple beaten eggs then coat them in some breadcrumbs and pan fry in some olive oil. When chops are done I add 1 cup of chicken stock to the same pan with all the drippings and such and then add 1 cup of sour cream and 1 tsp of flour. Whisk together until bubbly. Pour sauce over chops. We make this all the time and it never get's old.

not really a recipe but I smother mine. I just did mine this weekend

Pre Heat oven to 350
Season chops with seasoning salt, italion seasoning, garlic salt and Mrs Dash. Cook in skillet about 5 minutes each side (inch thick chop). Saute bell peppers (red and green) and onions in butter too.
Put chops and veggies in a baking pan and cover in a mixture of milk and cream of mushroom. You can also do it without smothering them. Bake for about 20-30 minutes. EASY PEASY PIE!

mine. without smother.

smothered version before baking

Yeah, but it's top secret...

Just kidding.

I get the thick chops and slice a small pocket in the side (down to the bone). Then I brown some diced bacon and mix in some garlic and parsley. Slice up a few pieces of a really good cheese (Brie or Gouda is really good with this recipe). Slip the cheese and a spoonful of the bacon mixture into the pocket. Season the chops with salt and pepper and use either toothpicks or cooking twine to seal the opening. You can either grill them for 5 to 8 minutes on each side, OR sear them in a hot skillet and then bake them at 350 for about 15 minutes (or until the pork is no longer pink).

I then deglaze the pan with a bit of Pinot Grigio and either cream or milk, add salt and pepper and a bit more parsley and a hint of garlic powder, reduce it until it's a sauce, and serve it over the chops.

My man goes apesmurf over these LOL.

Chops:
Heat 2 tbsp of oilBrown (approx 4 thin) pork chops and season to taste (I like salt, pepper and garlic)

Sauce:
1 cup of milk
1-2 cans of cream of mushroom soup
Add hot oil from chops to sauce mixture

Veggies:
Cut potatoes into thin slices
Chop cabbage

Put a layer of potatoes on the bottom of a 9x9 glass dish. Then sprinkle with flour and pour some sauce over it.

Put a layer of cabbage, flour then sauce and repeat with layers until you get to the top.

Put your chops on top of the veggie layers (cover with foil) and cook at 350 for approx 45 min or until potatoes and cabbage is soft.

Your Husband will love you forever
