Your supply really has to do with demand.. the more baby nurses, the more milk you will produce. Pumping doesn't seem to have the same effect as actual baby to breast, and sometimes there's just nothing you can do. Good luck!

Allowing for lots of comfort nursing helps boost supply too. While they comfort nurse (usually asleep or being put to sleep) they are suckling but not enough to get much milk but it tells your boobs to make more milk anyways.

Glad I could help! Also, co-sleeping encourages comfort nursing. Good luck!

Until I went back to work at 4 weeks I was basically a milk machine. I would get up in the morning and pump, then put lincoln on the breast, then pump again. Then 2 hours later I would pump again. By the time Lincoln was 3 months old I had 600oz in the freezer that I donated to helping hands milk bank.

I don't really know about food consumption. I was really overweight, when I conceived I was 195 when I gave birth I was 240. My doctor and his ped gave me the go ahead for a slimfast diet as long as it didn't effect my supply and it didn't so I did that. I'm down to 175.
