How long did you use your pump?

I bought this expensive medela double pump when N was a NB and have probably used it at the most ten times. My body didnt respond well when my milk regulated and then he started refusing bottles. Now I'm questioning if I will ever have use for it before the next baby....I mean I get way more out just hand expressing :/ He is almost 13 months

I used mine 5 days a week (2 - 3 sessions a day) for 13 months. I had the Medela PISA

Why did you stop? I have the same one  

I use it everyday at work. 11 months and still going.

But with my first, I used my pump a handful of times, but I didn't rely on it then because I was a sahm.

I stopped pumping at work during the days at 13 months (when he started eating solids better) and just started nuring LO only when I was home till 16 months. He mainly refused bottle while I was working anyway though. I put most of it all in the freezer. I had over 120 oz in there at one point.

Damn! Thats alot! I would be terrified if the power went out for a long time or something haha..

How long do you think a 13 month old coul go withoout milk? He eats 3 solids meals a day....I kind of want to go on a longer date...like to the movies and dinner...3-4 hours? I'm nervous tho :/

Is he not on cows milk yet? 12 months is when we introduced cows milk slowly, but we had to mix is with my bm at first.

No I'm planning on only BFing until he is an older toddler

He can go a day without bm, but is he drinking water in a sippy or anything? I would just be concerned about dehydration if he's not drinking anything else if you were to leave, you know? But, some hours would be just fine, especially if he's eating solid food regularly.

i pump for about an hour total every day just so my 6 year old can have some boob milk at breakfast or whatever, my 23 month old is still nursing so i dont pump for her at all.
i use either my medela swing or my medela pisa.

I only used it before I would have a drink before night time so if my son woke up at night he would have a bottle, and then I would pump in the morning just in case   not often, I breast fed for 10 months

Oh yeah he drinks water from a sippy cup  ...I meant as far as milk goes...Im going to offer coconut milk when he is an older toddler.

Yeah, he doesn't NEED the milk. I mean, he would survive with out it, you know? But I think extended bfing is great!! And I don't think it necessary that you pump for him if you want to go out for an evening.

He just nurses so often I wasnt sure  . So I should be good for 4 hours? I swear if I walked around with my boobs out all day he would probably nurse every hour or half hour even  

I was also not sure if it would affect my supply
