A little vent...

posted 10th Dec
I just finished up figuring out the books I need for my spring semester, smurfing 300 dollars. I know that's really not even that bad for books but it just sucks because I feel like I'm slowly but surely running out of money. I'm going to get to the point where I'm spending money that I don't even have. I've been trying to save up money since DS was born so I can eventually move out. My original plan was to move out this summer and I know now that that is not even possible at this point. Why is everything so smurfing expensive?

My books last semester were $800   Luckily for me my student loans pay for that stuff, though. Sorry dear

Everything is so expensive now days. And I have like quadruple the amount of bills that I had when I first moved out of my parents house 10 years ago! It's just out of control.

Have you tried shopping for used ones? That's what I did the whole time when I went back to school, I looked for used textbooks and found great deals actually. I believe I saved myself about $3,000 in just book expenses.

Have you looked on Amazon or something similar? The one semester I had to purchase my books (only semester I was at a true university) I spent less than $100 and the textbooks I needed for 6 classes.

I was in the same boat except I was doing a two year program and just hunted for the best deals compared to what my university was offering the books for. I actually found quite a few of my $300 books used for $10 plus $4 shipping so $14 isn't bad at all!!! I love the internet sometimes!!!

Meee 2   I was amazed I was able to get it under $100 considering 1 or 2 of the classes had 2 books so I had to get a good amount of books.

Haha..I was beyond broke when I went to sell mine, so I sold them to the local university   No one will get a good deal from them.
