re: Mommys giving formula

Im on ny wic and we just had to put my lil girl on Nutramigen. it works great we have tried 5 different kinds and this is the only one that works

i use similac sensitive..im on wic as well

Mine is too   How long did it take to figure out she was? Did she vomit, lose weight, anything like that?

It's been such a struggle, there is milk in so many foods!

About 4-5 months  

Yep, she has reflux and it was even worse when she was on milk/soy formula. So she gained weight super slow and was just miserable when she had to poop

Poor baby  

We fortunately caught it pretty quickly, but only because she was vomiting after every feeding, then one day she just stopped eating. Ate like 1 ounce in a 24 hour period. We took her to the hospital and they tried telling us it was only reflux  

Her pedi listened to us though and we tried several formulas, and she finally suggested Alimentum and it was almost an immediate difference. She was still diagnosed with Failure to Thrive though, even on the alimentum she barely gains weight.

we have wic also and we're using gerber good start gentle.

Is she a slow grower, or are her milestones behind too? Did they tes for Chrons?(sp?)


DD had an immediate difference, too. It was awesome. She's always super happy now.
