To cut the mullet...or not

He almost has no hair on the rest of his head. His mullet does not always look like this, it's usually like tucked to the side (if that makes sense)..
We want his hair to grow long, but this is the only part of his head that will grow hair..he's almost 2.

Sorry but I think he's due for a trim.

I wouldn't cut it. I love long hair and think its cute on little boys.

My DD has a mullet since I've never cut her hair and it works well because she doesn't have all those bangs in her eyes lol

Omg as cute as it is, I'd have to for the sake of him looking back at photos and wondering why the hell you let him have a mullet!

My SD's hair would NOT grow In the front so she had the worst mullet, but luckily we could put the backin a pony tail and plop a headband on the front

Cutting the hair will make it look fuller. When you have long hair it ends up looking like its not brushed

His hair is all brushed out, I had to get a good picture, it's usually curled together, in a way

You must cut the beast... I mean trim the mullet!   But I love his color.

Our son was born with a mohawk. He has this big, thick, long strip of hair in the middle of his head but was bald on the sides lol. He has hair all over now, but it's still only thick in the middle of his head and he had a little rat tail growing and we did finally decide to cut it last month. So I say cut it  

My personal experience(thanks to my son, & my daughter) is it will "Come In" still, & if you cut it it'll still have to grow out past that point again. My son's came in around 3, My Daughter's has Just come in at around 2, but she's been faster in it's "Coming in Stages" than he was. So for her I'm hoping that when she turns 3 her hair will be where her Brothers has been since 4.5.

Your sons hair is gorgeous. I can't get over how cute it is!
I want my sons hair to be that long, SO has really long hair, too.
I'm going to cry, I feel like a huge baby.
