bank error in my favor

i deposited money in the bank to order gifts online at bestbuy. they took the money out, i got the gifts and i checked my bank again only to find that the money is back and there is nothing showing i bought anything. i know this has to be too good to be true so i called the bank. they told me i had to call bestbuy. they told me i have to call another number but they cant pull up the info. now im wondering if i should call or if i should use the money to pay bills that i was worried about. our washer did just break right when the money came back in my possesion. anyone gone through this? any advice?

I wouldn't spend the money twice... it will get taken out.

It will get taken out dont spend money you don't have.

Don't spend money that shouldn't be there. Chances are that will come to bite you in the ass and overdraft your account.

Wait it out. It could get taken out at any time, then you would be screwed.

I would wait awhile to see if the transaction posts later. Sometimes when I use my debit card the purchase doesn't show up on my account for 2 weeks or so. Stay safe and don't spend it.

It will get taken out again. This happened to me once at Walmart. I spent the money they took it out, then put it back in, about a week later they took it out again. It was weird.

dont spend because the transaction from best buy and the bank could just be delayed.. i would just wait a bit longer before you think youre in the clear

yeah if you spend it all you will over draw when they take the money back out...

I wouldn't spend it! The pre authorization hold probably dropped off [72hr from purchase]...that money WILL come back out.

i would still wait a few more days its happened to me where transactions have disappeared even though i received the stuff, but then the next day it was showing again in my recent transactions

Give it a while, sometimes this happens to me when I buy gas. It always comes out, sometimes it take 3-5 days.
