Hiding to poop
posted 10th Dec
My son (23) months has been taking his diaper off after he pees or poops for some time now.and now he is hiding while he poops,he will go where no one can see him and if you bother him he will push you away.
He's still pretty non verbal so he can't tell me when he needs to go and will not sit down for more than 3 seconds which isn't enough time to go to the bathroom on the potty chair.
He also mostly has diarrhea or loose stools so sometimes by time I realize he's trying to go its too late to sit him down
I think he's about ready to be potty trained but I can't figure out how to get him to sit down and go.
If he would actually sit for a few minutes it would be easier
Any advice?

Do you like being watched when you poop? lol I bet he doesn't either.
My kid hides too. They deserve a little privacy too. haha If you can't get him to sit on the potty.. he's not ready.

Play games while e sits or let him watch a short video on you tube?
At that age I just read him a book while he sat, but he didn't start going on the potty Consistently until he was 2.5

Well before he didn't care.this past week he started doing it so I figured he is recognizing when he needs to go
