BG mommas and preggos!! I NEED YOU!

I am embarking on a new project and unforunately I can't say quite yet what it is! But I need some feedback and info!

What were you NOT told about when you were pregnent? Giving birth..? What did you have to find out on your own, that you had not read in books? Online, etc?

What are some of the things you wish that someone would've told you?

For example.. I had NO idea when I was pregnant that your boobs leaked.. And it kind of smelled like what you ate..  ew. gag.

I had NO idea my nipples would get so big either lol yikes!

Any and all experiences/ info would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you!

really i had a great labor to be a first i wish i would do it all over again.

That sex could cause you to bleed a little. I started crying because I was bleeding and told my mom but didn't tell her me and dh just dtd she called the ob and the first question was did she recently have sex. BAHAHA

Throughout everything, no one ever warns you of how bad your va jayjay feels after and how disgusting you are once you have your baby. No one warned me of the condtsnt bleeding and pain for the first few weeks after delivery

Oh and that I would have a $250 copay..... Didn't know that until checking into the hospital when they said alright 250.00 is the total

defenitly dark/big nipples ewwww and charlie horses are the worst also idk if this sounds dumb but i didnt know u can tear ur skin while giving birth!! thankfully wit my first they cut me so i would tear but man i am so scared of tearing wit this one!!!

I forgot to add that after my c-section (and pushing for 6 hours first!) because of the surge of hormones I was SO incredibly swollen down there it looked like I had changed genders lol I was horrified  

That my nipples would stop being cute and pink and turn brown. u.u That sex hurts. That you can get stretch marks in places you didn't know you could get stretch marks.

Something i dodntthink abou was having to push the placenta out also. Or how they would pull the cord out until the placenta was ready to be pushed out lol.

I had no idea that I couldn't eat certain foods, would have to have vaginal exams before I was even in labor, and, well, everything else. I knew NOTHING. There are a lot of lies people told me, though. Everyone said I would feel an instant connection to my baby after birth, and I didn't. They also said that after labor, 'all the pain would go away.' Smurf no it didn't.

I also didn't know that doctors aren't always right.

I also didn't know about the massive amount of boob leakage that was capable of soaking through shirts, the boob pain when they were filled with milk..

I didn't feel the connection right away either! I thought I was a monster for that!

That there was such a demon as post partum depression/anxiety and it could change you as a person so much you don't even recognize yourself. I didn't want my baby, I didn't want my life, I didn't want anything but my old self back.

That breastfeeding is SO SmUrfING HARD but so rewarding if you can stick with it!

That kids never sleep. It's like, a medical marvel. They just.. don't.

Me too. Especially since my mom also thought I was a monster for that. Hell, my baby is almost 6 months old and I still don't feel very connected to her.
