With my first I had no idea that if your water broke and contractions didn't start up quickly enough that I would be induced with pitocin. I didn't even know what the pitocin would do other than speed things along. Unfortunately wasn't my favourite birth experience but I learned my lesson. Luckily I didn't have to face that with my following births which came on naturally and quickly!
