Yeah I had it bad with our first, that is why it took so long to bond with her. With the pills I was able to control my emotions better with the second baby, and I connected easier with her.

I hear you. I'm honestly praying that if I get ANY of my labor wishes this time (natural, at home, etc) that my placenta is safe. I NEED it. I pray nothing happens to it. If I don't get anything the way I want it this time I at least hope to have a healthy placenta.. and child, obviously lol

Thank you! I just read it and thats completely crazy/ amazing! I told my fiance about it and he thinks it's a good idea!? lol..

It makes a ton of sense if you really think about it. Animals do it all the time. I'm definitely going to research it more and make myself more comfortable and familiar with the idea of it. I still want to hear peoples experiences with it!

I had an extremely low risk of needing a c section so maye that is why I was allowed to eat. I had already had one baby vaginally with no problems and was provressing well without meds. They actually encouraged me to eat and drink to keep my energy up when it came time to push.
Who is your doctor if you don't mind my asking? I use a family practice doctor, not an OB.

   SAME! 28 hrs with no food.. I was not a happy camper!

I'm glad your DF is on board. My DH thinks it's gross but he can kiss my actual ass for all I care he doesn't know what PPD feels like so I'll do what I want. I'd eat day old road kill if they promised me it would prevent PPD. I just can't do that again.

Well even if you end up with a C-section you can still take placenta home with you. Usually have to sign some papers.

I see Dr. Leung now. My OB that I had for my daughter left Umass and moved to somewhere on Cape. She was at the end of her residency so she had to leave the hospital like 20 min before I delivered bc she was over hours and Dr. Lake was the one who forced the c-section. I evil eye her every chance I get! lol

I work for Umass too, who do you see?

lol! It really is awful. After the forced c-section I had PPD and also found out my daughters donor had been cheating on me while I was pregnant than left! So that, added to the PPD, made for a greeat welcoming into new mommyhood!

I didnt know your nipples would crack and bleed from breastfeeding. I eventually found some stuff to put on them and it worked wonders.

He was a tool and hasn't seen her in a year and a half! But everything happens for a reason! And omg I just loled at that! I want to be like that as well! I wish I knew then what I know now. I'm not going to the hospital until I can't bare contractions or I'm getting a midwife!

Me too. I really want a home water birth but i'm just going to shoot for a natural deliver and labor at home as long as I can until hospital time.

My doctor is Dr. Elizabeth Erban. I drive all the way from dracut, which is on the boarder of new Hampshire, to go to umass and see te doctor I like. My doctor with my first was kind of an smurf, but I haven't seen her since my pp chekc up after e was born, I've been with dr. Erban since and she's awesome.

ETA: I could delivery at a couple of hospital very close to me but I just liked the experience at UMass so much last time and my doctor is so awesome I didn't even consider changing anything wih this pregnancy. The hour and 15 minute ride sucks but I think it's worth it.

I want a natural water birth so bad, but I can't do it. Nope. I have an extremely low pain tolerance, and if I had to have a natural labor, I think it would make my PPD a lot worse and I would never have any more babies.
