We started shopping in August, after we came back from vacation. I did a big k mart layaway for my kids for bulk of their things. Then I made a list of everyone I was shopping for and budget of what I was spending on then. Then I had an envelope with each persons name on it and the budget for them written on them. Then every week I saved between 30-40 bucks and deposited it into envelopes. And kept envelopes in my purse. So like for example I had a budget of $15 for each of my neices and nephews so I put $15 in each of their envelopes, put $125 in my moms envelope, $30 in my brothers envelope and that's what I had to spend. It helped me keep track of who I had to buy for and made sure I didn't spend too much on one person, and not have enough for someone else.
I should add I set an main budget first. Sat down and realistically figured out how much I would be able to afford to spend saving 30-50 per week, then broke my budget down into the ppl I was buying for
