So I been on graveyard this past weekend and he wouldnt let me sleep for smurf. Its my first time on graveyard since I been working. Its only 3 nights a week, but im having a hard time adjusting. So I come home by 9am, try and sleep. The entire time im attempting to sleep he is talking to me, bothering my feet, trying to have sex with me, and telling DD 'oh mommys too busy sleeping to take care of you, but thats okay daddy gots you. Daddy always takes care of you.'
Each morning went something like this, so I only slept for 3 hours when I come back from work. At night I usually try to sleep at least 4 hours before going in, but nope that didnt happen. Last night I couldnt take it any more and exploded on him, I didnt like it but it got the point across. I know he takes good care of our dd, but I was like a zombie last night. I apologized for yelling at him, so to make up for bothering me, he called in back up, dd's grama. She took care of her today while I caught up on my zzz's. Hope he doesnt do it next weekend because 10 hours of sleep in 36 hours is no fun for him or me.

Wow, I'm sorry he was being an ass. I work overnights and I have to have at LEAST 4 hours of sleep before working another 12 hour shift. I would be pissed if my DH didn't let me sleep. Night shift sucks! I'm glad you were able to get some sleep today.

I think I would have thrown a royal fit. DH and I work opposite shifts and for the past 2 months I've been on seconds and he's been on firsts. On the weekends he sleeps in until like 11 am and I do too, but our DS always sleeps until 11 am, so that's not sleeping in for me at all. He normally has to be up at 5 am for work, so sleeping until 11 is sleeping reeeeeally late for him, but as soon as our son wakes up he brings him in to our room to wake me up and it's cute and all and but sometimes I just want him to get up with him and let me stay in bed like I did for him when he was on seconds. He would never say anything like yours did, though. Probably because if I was trying to sleep and he said something like "I always take care of you" I would have jumped out of bed and punched him in the face lol. I am not very a nice person when I'm tired.
Luckily I'm back on firsts this week and he's on seconds Hope you get more sleep from now on!

I would've lost my smurf on him the first day. When my SO works nights, hes gone from 4:30pm to 5:30am. And sleeps from 6am to 2pm. And I try not to go in the room. Sometimes I need to grab clothes or something, but I never go in there and chat with him. lol that's rude..

Yeah I was pissed, but then DD can be really difficult sometimes.. She has to have the 4 S' and 1 B just to go to bed. Lol. You know Swaddled, Sucking, Swaying,Shushing, and Bouncing. ALL AT THE SAME TIME! So it was understandable why he wanted some help. Shes a great sleeper at night. Getting her to nap during the day is the hard part. So next weekend I will be stocking up on energy drinks and definitely kicking them out of the room during the day.
