My child does a good deal of all that except talk radio with me and his father and um when you say

"Movies, no matter how educational, do not provide the level of teaching a child needs to grasp a subject."
It's pretty much saying theres no value in what I am doing that will have a lasting effect but you do so much better by letting your child use the internet and listen to talk radio and watch Cspan? If I told you that those were very unconventional methods and they are never going to work even though they have for you...you'd defend yourself.
I have that right when I also have the proof in the pudding

Lol you stalk because you think youre of importance somehow with the silly things you say. It shows small mindedness and the lack of ability to understand that things dont have to be a certain way to work

No one attacked me at all ...I am not sensitive lol. You and whoever is blinded by what can and has been done are just the type homeschoolers deal with on a daily basis and make us happy we have pulled our children out.

You have been extremely defensive throughout your entire post. You asked for opinions. You didn't want them, you just wanted to "show off" that you are home schooling for whatever reason. I'm having a hard time understanding your point of view.

I come up with it from your lack to understand things dont have to be a certain way to work and you seem to think you have a better grasp at this than I.

You've assumed plenty so why must I allow your opinion on my inability to teach in a style that child will retain anything and not tell you how it has and can work? You are the one taking it to heart. I see it as your opinion and your opinion in the ends makes no sense to what has been already accomplished especially if the way you state your opinion was negative from the get and still is now.

You had a hard time reading the whole post when you thought for sure my child only spent 10 min on subjects for the whole day. You never truly read what I wrote so yeah...I let you know you were wrong.

Yes! Lol, thats why I am homeschooling so I can nurture when I knew and everyone including his teachers knew that he was a special kid. I will not say he isnt just to make someone feel good lol. Some children grasp differently then others. Some do well..some dont. Some even with spectacular education still only do average. No method is right for every kid.
To say that mine is not because its not to the standards of yours..I will give an argument .

Has your son been tested? What's his IQ? What percentage is he in? Top 5% is considered exceptional. I could share some lessons from dd's school, but I don't know if they would be too easy or hard.
