You have no idea what I do or my home situation so stop acting like you do. If you were content with your schedule then why post it on here in the first place. I dont agree with you BFD move on. Congrats your son if advanced so is my daughter again BFD its pre-k. For smurfs sake if its working for you then why do feel the need to defend it. Just move on with your night.

My mother used a similar schedule to mine.
I think I have an IDEA of how homeschooling schedules may differ from ps schedules and how they CAN work by the teaching and not the time frame
I got to watch videos on certain subjects because I was more disciplined in how to grasp a subject without spending a whole day on it.
My child isnt like yours or someone elses. I go based on the way he learns and if it doesnt take him a whole day to get what I am teaching and its not leaking out like a slow faucet over time....then he's good to go.
Using college to compare to a 4 yr old isnt a fair comparison. At your age and what level youre at ...you shouldnt be watching tv like that anyhow but focusing on college .

If I seem crazy because I dont think following a PS schedule is basically failing my child in your eyes...then Im smurfing insane lol

I dont mind if that means that my child is getting what he needs!

No one ever once said you were failing him. We simply did not agree with your use of school time. Then you decide to belittle and get nasty?

You compare my sons education to you being in college.
You say that it WONT work; what I am doing at all. That he wont retain or understand because he's not on a set schedule like you think he ought to be.

If you take that as an insult....then how do you think I took all youve said about time frame instead of my teaching abilities.

You didnt read through all I said and why his schedule as it may be and that homeschool is a more laxed' system.
What I may do and do well you may not and the same goes the other way around.
You may not see how it can work but what you dont do is say IT WONT. Thats just showing ignorance instead of accepting everything may not be cookie cut.

Remember you said you see NO way of him learning with the time frame even AFTER I explained.
You were stuck on the 10 min thing for a second too as if not to purposely read all that I wrote.
You gave the example of a childrens (yet awesome) cartoon to belittle the video I am using to teach a 4yr old history.
