What happens at the hospital...

If at the time of birth, a mutual decision between parents still hasn't been made about circumcision?

If one is dead set on not, and one is dead set on having it done...
just..what happens?

I know i've posted before asking how was a compromise found/who has the 'final say',

but, say, no compromise is found
& you find yourself at the hospital with them asking you what's going to happen.

(i just keep semi-panicking over this cos i'm unwilling to compromise and dude is set on circ'ing  )

They've already asked me. DH doesn't come to appointments because he works, so I can tell them HELL NO with no conflict ^-^

You don't do it, and can later with your pedi.

I think if the mother says no they won't.

You just talk to your childs pedi.

when did they bring it up?
they haven't brought it up with me yet and i can't remember with my first (7+ years ago)
But back then, i was the only one making the decision, ha (he's intact)

That's a good question but I am thinking, maybe, its Mom's final say? But Idk. They never ask the Dads nothin in my hospital.

I dont know if its you or him not wanting it, but I would let the guy decide if I was put in that situation. Just because he has more experience with his own male parts and probably knows what would be better off.

Just read the last part, I think the mom has the final say once the babies born but im not 100%

I think that's dumb reasoning, sorry.
He wants it merely for cosmetic reasons, and "not being made fun of in high school".

I don't want things cut off my son's body while he has no say.

If his brother isn't cut,then that's a good reason. Have you talked to SO about that?

I've had 2 bouts of premature labor (both around 24-26 weeks) this pregnancy and they asked me both times. As well as at my last appointment, they asked whether I was planning to BF, circumcise, etc. So, maybe bring it up when you discuss your birth plan.

Yeah, and he thinks i made a mistake by not doing that. (he's not Carter's bio dad)

That would make sense. we have a planned c-section so we should be able to talk all that out during that time.
