Potty training

My son is 2 1/2 years old and we are def. having a hard time.... He does an excellent job when I take him, but when he has underwear or pull ups on he'll tell me after the fact he went, I have tried all the tricks, cartoon undies, reward sticker chart, he has a cars potty, the only time he will go on the toilet is when he is bare, no pull up! Any advice mommies?

Maybe he's just not ready yet...?

MY son is the same way. He is ok with shorts and nothing underneath though. Maybe try that?

How long has it been like this? My DS went thru that phase for a couple weeks then would tell me he had to go if he had pants on but no underwear n then he finally got to the point where I could put underwear on him too  

Wait it out, you can't force it. He will resent it more. DD didn't want to until she was 3 and just bam, one day she wanted to.

Sounds like he isnt quite ready...

I was thinking the same thing, everybody would always tell me its time to train, since he use to bring me diaper an wipeys when he went to the bathroom, we've been trying for 2 weeks now... I'll just keep tryingy best and try the no undies and shorts/ sweats
