Drinking & Driving.

Do you ever drink and drive? Have you ever done it before? Do you judge your friends that do it?

I've never done it and would never do it. I am so agaist it that's it's almost obsessive. Yep, I judged one of my friends and yelled at him   I didn't mean to but it made me so mad that he'd do that knowing what would happen.

I lost my second mama to a drunk driver accident. She died in the hospital and he was driving a rig and didn't even have a scratch. The bastard knew the on scene cop so somehow, probably money, the cop didn't take him to the hospital for a BAC test or escort him there. He said he stopped for drinks on the way to the hospital. Nothing serious happened to him, legally. Not long after that he got in another drunk accident and died.
I remember my parents picking me up from girl scouts and my dad crying. They told my brother and I at home as Seans dad from Boy Meets World died. For some reason I've never forgotten that. We miss her so much. Two kids had to grow up without a mom.

So for me I know what can happen. It's not worth it. Not smurfing worth it.

Driving drunk is one of the most selfish things anyone can do. That I can think off.
A past member lost her life along with 4 (5?) of her children because of a drunk driver about 5 years ago just after Christmas.

I am totally against it! I have never done it, nor would I ever do it. I am not endangering someone else's life including my own. DH has a few times (before we were together) but he sure as hell don't know. I had a brother lose his leg due to being hit by a drunk driver. he was 17 years old at the time and that really messed with me. He don't even think about doing it because he knows how i feel about the situation!

Totally against drunk driving and anyone who does it. If you want to put your life in danger, fine, but don't put someone else's in danger too.

I would never drink and drive nor have I ever and I would judge my friends for it yes!! I lost my uncle when a drunk driver smashed into him and took his life...I have always and even to this day tell my family and friends I dont care what time it is day or night if you go out and have a drink and no ride home call me and I will come get you no matter how far away you are I would rather you get home safe than risk taking your life or the life of an innocent person!!

I'm totally against it. My daughters father died in a drinking and driving accident and a few months later his best friend died the same way.

I judge people for drunk driving. I hate it and have never done it. SO has never done it since we got together, but he has in the past and got his ass kicked by a cop who pulled him over. He never hurt anyone though, but he could have (he was being a dumbass to the cop, giving a fake name and making dumb answers to routine questions).

I know a guy from high school who used to drink and drive all the time. He gave me a ride home once, I swear I was nearly crying in the car I was so scared by the way he drove. About 7 years ago he hit another car and was killed. The woman in the other car - a mother of four - was paralyzed from the waist down.

I was never preached to about not drinking and driving, and my worry was I would lose my license so I never did it. Since about 18 or so though ive been the "on call" driver. And once a week or so Ill get a call to come get someone.

My sister and her girlfriend walked into the house last night stumbling all over the smurfing place.. I instantly got up to see if her girlfriends car was okay, and if it was parked correctly...NOPE... they straight up left the car in the middle of our cold-a-sac (sp?) RUNNING, with the doors wide open... SMFH. I chewed them both out... But they didn't even remember it this morning.  

When I was 14 (don't judge... I know, very stupid) my boyfriend, his sister, and I were drinking. (first time drinking)
I ended up getting really sick... so we went for a drive. We got into a roll over accident in a neighborhood.. (he was going 75 because he wanted to "drift" around a cold-a-sac)
He was completely fine.. I was bruised, and shaken up, but nothing serious.
Since then, I can barley drive without having an anxiety attack.. I can't drive at 5:00 because of all of the traffic, and I have only been on the highway one time.
(I don't even have my license because i'm so scared. I'm 19 years old. Can only drive with someone over 21+ because I only have my permit..)

So, with all of that said, I am soooooo strongly against drunk driving!!!!!

Yep. I didn't really know her but BG was quite small bak then. It was a horrific tragedy

cause i am so damn against it! my friend died in a drink driving accident! and he was not drinking the driver was! and the driver is alive!

It just makes me sick thinking of it!!
I have a few family members and close friends that have and still do it. These people have had close calls and pure luck that nothing bad has happened (yet).
These are the same people that if someone accidently cuts them off while they are sober will kick up a smurf storm and hurl abuse at them??
WTF ignorant drop kicks.
My fridge could be full of alcohol but I will not offer them anything but soft drink, water or coffee even when they come over sober.

SOs mom is a smurfin pro at that smurf. she drinks and smokes ever day and always drives home. shes never been pulled over or anything. shes a better driver drunk and sober

Seriously? No matter how "pro" she is at "that smurf" she's still driving under the influence and endangering not only her life, but everyone else's that are on the road with her.

Drinking and driving is ignorant. And people shouldn't joke about it and act all nonchalant about it. I had a close friend die just past midnight on new year's this year. Took a curve too fast, rolled, went THROUGH two trees, and finally smacked into a utility pole. He was thrown from the car and killed instantly. He wasn't totally drunk, either. Just buzzed. But being buzzed was enough to kill him.
