When did you tell LO about having a sibling?

My DS is three and I know I don't want to tell him until I'm in my second trimester but I don't know when.

What are your opinions ladies?

We'll probably just show up with Thing 2 and be all "SURPRISE! Your smurf just got demoted." LOL.. Nah, I MAY tell him but he's so little right now he'd never know.

My oldest at the time was only 18 months old so it was easy, we just told her and she attended all my dr appointments and ultrasounds. We hung the first ultrasound up on the fridge and she got the jist of it. She would rub cocoa butter on my belly after seeing me so it lol

I took her to the 16w ultrasound and she got to see it on TV.

our daughter was one when we found out we were expecting again..we took her to every doc apt with us to all the U/S everything we bought baby dolls for her to play with...she was very involved with the new baby..I was never sure if she understood what was going on or not until the day I had our son back in April..hubbys grandparents took her for the night and brought her to the hospital to see him the next day and looked at me and said mommy where did baby go looking at my belly and hubby then took our son out of the bassinet and helped her hold onto him and it was then that I swear even with her being that little she knew and they are so close both in age and the way they admire each other.. I think her being so involved really helped her adjust to the new baby  

My son was a little over 3 when I found out I was pregnant. He was actually the one that told me I was but I thought he was just being silly. He came up to me and put his hand on my belly and said "my baby sister is in there" and I just laughed it off. But he was right! It was crazy! So he knew from day 1 lol. He helped pick out all of her clothes and crib and he went with me to my appointments and loved seeing her and hearing her heart beat. He would rub and kiss my bell. He even helped with her name. He is a VERY loving big brother!

My son did the same thing with my daughter, he told me it was his sister and her name was Elly and sure enough it was a girl and her name is Ellyona. lol   you couldnt tell him that it was a boy he would throw a fit and scream no its not its going to be a sister. He did the same thing with this one. he told me i was having a baby and i was like no bubba mommy isnt having another one anytime soon and tada #3 is due in June. he says its a brother this time but he keeps flip flopping and says well it might be a sister.

My son told me for three months I had a baby In my stomach and was wrong lol.

but for a few weeks now He's been talking about having a baby shower.
