When I lost my son I wrote and read poems and joined a support group at the hospital for free. It is so hard to lose a child. For me it helped to go through all the steps: sadnesss, anger, grief, denial. Also to stay as busy as possible.

I remember reading that it is highly unlikely for a family to lose a second child to SIDS, almost unheard of. I was trying to find an article because I thought it may help but can't find one yet.

OP~ Did the funeral home refer you to a grief counselor? If not, maybe you will want to find one. The loss of a child is something a mother should NEVER experience. I understand the desire to TTC right away as well. I am terribly sorry for your loss and wish you comfort in this time.

We have a therapist we are going tov see soon who's a friend of our family.
