Thanks. I've had plenty of people on here tell me in nuts for doing it. Someone even said once that it was borderline abuse to give my 6 year old breastmilk. Idiots. Lol

I don't see how giving him breast milk in a cup means she needs to cut the cord. It's healthier.

Omg it's not effecting you, why do you care? Breastmilk has wondeful health benefits no matter what your age, and I'm not hurting anyone so why does it bother you? My kids are both very independent, outgoing, smart children who have never had an issue with separation anxiety an are certainly not weird or awkward because of our breastfeeding choices. It helps to keep them healthy and they are not uncomfortable with it so I don't see a problem. My son got sick all the time before he started taking the breastmilk and now he rarely gets sick and when he does it last about a third as long, and my daughter at 23 months has gotten sick a grand total of 2 times in her life.
If you don't like extended breastfeeding, don't do it. I could not care less. But don't act like families who choose to do it are doing something wrong or ridiculous. To each their own.

Thank you! It's not Like he's nursing. I pump and give him a glass of milk or a smoothie and he likes it. It's really not that big of a deal. If my boobs are making it anyway I might as well let my munchkins reap the benefit.
And my daughter will nurse as long as she wants to, along with our new son due in may.

Even if he was nursing, there's nothing wrong with it! Some people are just closed minded. I think what you're doing is great. I wish I would have thought about just pumping into a cup before I weaned my son, but my milk is dried up already.

The only reason I thought it would be weird to nurse him when I started giving him bm is because he never nursed as a baby. I didn't know enough about BFing to make te choice then but when his sister came he was four and asked to try it and loved it so now he gets it everyday. He says it tastes like melted ice team.
If I had known more a out breastfeeding when he was born I would have nursed him until he didn't want to anymore too.

You're obviously uneducated about this topic so I suggest you avoid topics about breastfeeding/extended breastfeeding.
Our doctor and his neurologist both say that it's wonderful that he wants to have the breastmilk at his age, it doesn't suddenly lose its health benefits when someone has their 2nd birthday. Grow up and do some research.
