What is your favorite desert to bake other the cake and cupcakes!
I need advice on what to bake for a military christmas party! TIA ladies any help would be apreciated!


My so is in the coast guard and i got invited to this party which is next thursday and he decides to tell me tonight that he wants to take something homemade for desert for the entire base.

I love peppermint bark!

Peanut butter blossom cookies! Yum lol. And apple crisp  

Sopapillas!

You deep fry a bunch of flour tortillas, immediately sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. drizzle with honey.

I had no idea what they were until I met SO. He apparently loves them. He drizzles a little chocolate sauce on too and tops it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Super cheap to make for a big crowd, though.

We put vanilla ice cream on them too  
I use caramel sauce and bananas as toppings

Magic cookie bars. Google will give you several versions. They are yummy and can be made in advance and in big quantities.
