shots :(

posted 9th Dec
My baby girl gets her 2 months shots tomorrow!! I'm so dreading it! And her daddy won't be with us because he has to work.  What should i "look forward" to after her shots? A fever? sleepy/fussy? How did your babie(s) do after theirs?

My son was sore and sleepy but that was it. Other than that he was fine. The next day he was back to his usual stuff.

Some babies dont have any reactions at all and some do. Do your reasearch on them and just know that you can choose when and what shots they can get, normally they get 4 shots but some of them have multiple vaccines in them and some are no necissary at 2 months old.

She was fine afterwards until that night. She cried nonstop until 6 am, it was horrible.

DS was ok. If you rub the spots where she gets it will help with the knotting and she'll be fussy. Get some baby Tylenol to keep on hand in case of fever. And just be prepared to lay on the couch with her all day. DS was only awake to eat and other than that he was sleeping, and he wouldn't let me set him down at all. It sucked to hear him cry when I went to the bathroom, but shoot mama had to pee.

The doctors will let you know.
They had me giving my son tylenol every 4 hours for the pain and he never got a fever.

My little girl just got hers a week ago. I was sad and nervous too. But she did fine just cried a little . But the next day was fussy and had a fever never went over 100. I checked her every few hours for a fever. I also gave her 1.25 of Tylenol before her appointment. About a half hour before. You just have to watch them after the shots for 48 hours. Then after that they're fine   Sorry you have to go alone though...

My lo had her 2 month shots. I was told there would be no reactions not even a fever. I brought her home and she went right to.sleep. she was lathargic and then would not eat. She stopped her sucking reflex. I had to force feed her. She went from being awake 18 or so hours a day to sleeping 18 to 20 hours a day. She had a 99.9 fever for 8 days. She developed acid reflux and severe eczema within 1 day. She stopped some of her previous milestones and started shrieking and screaming this high pitched frightening scream out of nowhere and would get really hot and red. She got diarrhea. It broke my heart to see that. After poking and priding the medical staff I was finally told it was a vaccine reaction. She also had rotovirus. (She was vaxed for it) It took 4 weeks to get her to suck on her own and she would only drink at most 2 oz of milk at a time. It took until almost 6 months for her to consistently drink more than 3 oz of milk at a time.

I questioned vaccines but was told by everyone that vaccines have no reactions or negative side affects except a slight fever or redness.
Even after I had my own reaction to flu and tdap and family members had reactions. I still thought they were safe.

That is when I did my research and stopped vaccinating.

i got told its the 3rd lot of shots are the worst. my other half has an alergy to one of them and had to work when our boy had his 3rd lot, i was constantly watching him and checking for temp. he was fine with all of them. the worst part was when we went in and he started smiling at the nurse then she jabed him. he was back smiling after a few mins, i think he forgot fast. im sure it'll be much worse for you then baby
