periods cramps at 39 weeks

i'm due in 6 days and so far i haven't had any contractions but today i have some horrid period cramps! i just all around feel strange. anyone else who is still baking and having some symptoms?

Yep I had them constantly the 2 weeks prior to having my second son. Turns out I was contracting and dialating slowly.

I've been dealing with that for 3 weeks now, but it always stops.  

that started happening towards the end every time. It's pretty normal.

Those are contractions. That's the best way I could describe my early contractions.

Also, last I was checked (2 weeks ago) I was 3 cm and 90% effaced

My midwife won't check me anymore, she said it will just make me antsy. But I'm having her strip my membranes on tues, so she'll be up there anyways. Walking has helped me progress this far.

i am feeling the same exact thing for like 2 weeks now. I got checked a few weeks ago and was 1 cm dialated. Now I get period cramps everyday and my cousin who just had her baby on friday told me that the cramps were contractions. Glad to hear others say the same thing!

I definitely feel like it won't be much longer! i hope they are making progress for you! it's reassuring to me since i haven't had any contractions or dilating so far.

let me know how your doc appointment goes! I'm curious to see if you have dialated since starting to get those cramps... my doctor checked me once like 3 weeks ago and hasnt checked me since then. I was one cm dialated back then and I'm really hoping that these cramps are making a difference. I amso ready to have my baby. I do NOT want to still be pregnant on christmas!!

I really dread thinking i would be stuck in the hospital around christmas! i will definitely let you know what the doctor says though!
